Question 1

What is Vendibar?

Accepted Answer

Vendibar is a compact, smart, cashless vending machine designed to replace the traditional hotel mini bar. Guests scan a QR code on the machine, browse a live menu on their phone, pay digitally, and the machine dispenses their items instantly.

Question 2

What kind of properties is Vendibar for?

Accepted Answer

Vendibar is built for hotels, serviced apartments, Airbnbs, boutique guesthouses, and any short-stay property that wants to offer in-room snacks, drinks, and essentials without the operational burden of a traditional mini bar.

Question 3

Do guests need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No. The entire purchase happens in the guest's web browser after scanning the QR code. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and card payments are all supported.

Question 4

How is the machine installed?

Accepted Answer

The Vendibar unit is compact and fits in the same space as a traditional mini fridge or under-desk cabinet. Installation is usually a quick plug-and-connect process with no major refurbishment required.

Question 5

Who stocks the machine?

Accepted Answer

Operators can stock the machine themselves using our low-stock alerts and restocking guides, or choose our Managed package where Vendibar handles restocking and range optimisation for you.

Question 6

What products can go inside?

Accepted Answer

You can choose a flexible mix of snacks, soft drinks, water, alcoholic beverages where permitted, toiletries, phone chargers, and other high-margin items guests often need.

Question 7

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

There are two models. You can buy the unit outright and keep 100% of the sales profit, or host it on a managed lease with no upfront cost, paying a fixed weekly fee and keeping everything above it. A short pilot programme is also available before a wider rollout.

Question 8

What if the machine breaks?

Accepted Answer

Under the lease model all maintenance and repairs are covered by Vendibar, and we collect the machine free of charge at the end of the term. Your team is also issued a master key so item jams or guest disputes can be resolved on the spot.

Question 9

How much work is it for our housekeeping team?

Accepted Answer

Very little. The dashboard shows which slots are empty before anyone opens the machine, so restocking is a two-minute task during a routine room turn. There is no cash to count and no manual consumption checks at checkout.

Question 10

What about corporate and group bookings?

Accepted Answer

Units are removable and lockable, so blocks of rooms that would normally have the minibar stripped out can keep the unit in place and retain the ancillary revenue instead.

Question 11

How do operators track sales?

Accepted Answer

Every sale is recorded in real time on the Vendibar dashboard. You can see stock levels, revenue, machine health, and restocking needs across every room in one place.

Question 12

What happens if a guest has a problem?

Accepted Answer

Guests can contact the property or Vendibar support depending on the issue. The machine is designed to be highly reliable, and the dashboard flags any maintenance needs immediately.

Question 13

When is Vendibar launching?

Accepted Answer

Vendibar is launching in 2027. We are currently working with pilot partners and taking enquiries for the rollout. Contact us to reserve a pilot for your property.
